This is not just music, this is The Texas Flood music
It was a dark night in the industrial heartland of South Wales when a single guitar rang out of the fog – a call to arms. It was soon answered by the crack of a snare and the unmistakeable rumblings of the bass guitar. It was apparent that The Texas Flood had awoken.
Tom (Sawyer) Bradford on Guitar and Vocal, Tom Williams on Drums and Ben Govier on Bass. The two Toms met in secondary school, both sharing a passion for music, but it was only after leaving school did they come together under the umbrella of The Texas Flood. Ben Govier was the final piece of the puzzle and fittingly is the son of the secondary school music teacher who had nurtured the two Toms’ passion for music. The Texas Flood is three like minded individuals with the aim of creating ‘balls to the wall rock and roll’…the music equivalent to the warm melting centre of a well known supermarket’s heavily advertised chocolate cake (…this is not just music, this is Texas Flood music).
The Texas Flood are determined to play as many gigs, to as many people as they possibly can…. because let’s face it life can’t get any better than that. In these gigs you can expect to hear blistering guitar playing, coupled with extravagant bass lines and all this backed by thundering drums. Pure raw energy. This serves to create a cocktail of sound second to none, a live show that is definitely ‘Worth the Whiskey’, this coincidently being the title of The Texas Flood’s 2012 EP.
The Texas Flood hopes to see you at a gig very soon!!
